Missouri is only now for some reason doing 1 year driver license for approved Asylees they said it was change for every body because of the real id new rules and the homeland security office… anyone knows about it ? or this is too new ? have any asylees here got their one year driver license ? now we used to have 6 year here in Missouri but now it’s only one year

I've never heard of that. It's assumed that if you're granted asylum, you're entitled to a Real ID and to obtain a license with the years corresponding to the state. For example, here in Texas, it's been 8 years. I obtained it in June 2025.

@Marvin Mejia yes my license it’s for 6 years and I got it last year but when the new regulation started all real Id for non citizen are one year it sucks

This is not correct. I am currently in Texas and transferred my driver’s license to the state two days ago. The license is valid for six years. They requested my I-94 white card with a granted asylum stamp.
