Hi Emma, I’m really sorry you’re dealing with all of this. You’re not alone, many VAWA applicants face health challenges during processing. I hope you get clarity and relief soon. 🙏🏽

Managing asthma and alopecia while waiting on a case can be extremely overwhelming. I’ve worked with several VAWA applicants on understanding expedite requests and organizing strong supporting documents (especially medical-based requests). I’m not an attorney, but I help with guidance and proper documentation preparation. If you’d like, I can share some general information or walk you through what usually helps in medical expedite situations. No pressure at all—just wanted to reach out in support. 🌸

@Chelsea Wright thanks so much I relly appreciate it would like you to walk me true it

@bless Emma You’re very welcome, Emma. I’m glad to help. I’ll keep it simple. For a medical-based expedite request on a VAWA case, USCIS usually looks for 3 key things: 1️⃣ Medical evidence – a doctor’s letter confirming your asthma and alopecia, current treatment (like the steroid injections), and how delays affect your health. 2️⃣ Proof of urgency – for example, difficulty breathing, worsening symptoms, or how stress and uncertainty are impacting your condition. 3️⃣ Connection to hardship – how waiting on the case is making it harder to manage treatment, work, or daily life. To guide you properly, can you tell me: have you already received your VAWA prima facie or EAD, or are you still waiting?
bless EmmaJan 20, 2026
@Chelsea Wright I file VAWA Oct 2022 received my work authorization valid for 5 years and travel documents in may 2025 then a few months now I received my prima facie letter
Chelsea WrightJan 20, 2026
@bless Emma Thank you for clarifying, Emma. That helps a lot. Since you already have a 5-year EAD, advance parole, and now a prima facie determination, it confirms your VAWA case is moving forward and considered credible by USCIS. For an expedite request, the strongest approach in your situation would be medical hardship. USCIS usually looks for a recent doctor’s letter explaining your asthma and alopecia, the ongoing treatment (including steroid injections), and why continued delays are negatively affecting your health or stability. One important question so I can guide you correctly: have you already filed your I-485 (adjustment of status), or is it still pending/not filed yet?
bless EmmaJan 20, 2026
@Chelsea Wright my lawyer file both together since I had a previous adjustment of status in 2019 I marry my hubby us citizen
Chelsea WrightJan 20, 2026
@bless Emma Thanks for clarifying, Emma. Since your lawyer filed both I-485 and VAWA together, that makes sense and actually gives us a good starting point. 🌸 To give you step-by-step guidance on how to properly request an expedite based on your medical conditions, it would be easier to walk through everything privately so I can make sure you have the right documents in order and nothing is missed. If you’re comfortable, you can message me via email [chelseawright089@mail.com] and we can go through it together, no rush, just making sure you have everything ready for USCIS.

@bless Emma unfortunate that's probably not a good enough reason to expedite. You already have AP so you can travel and getting VAWA approved wouldn't really change much. Don't trust fake lawyers and get a real one. Paralegals are just randoms who take money for something you can do yourself. The can't legally give you legal advice.

@Chelsea Wright Stop scamming people.

@ines ines I suspect this person is scam because whenever I look up they name can’t find they have a case here
Chelsea WrightJan 20, 2026
@ines ines Accusing someone of scamming without evidence is defamatory. I share publicly available information and help people understand processes, nothing more. If you can’t contribute constructively, don’t comment.
Chelsea WrightJan 20, 2026
@bless Emma Emma, I understand your concern, and that’s completely fair. Just to clarify: I’m not here as a case owner, which is why you won’t find a personal case under my name. I share general immigration guidance and process knowledge based on professional experience, not my own filing. I’m a verified immigration support professional on Fiverr, where I’ve helped many clients successfully prepare and organize their cases. I can also provide documented positive outcomes and client reviews from that platform if needed. I never promise approvals, never take payments here, and only guide people with publicly available USCIS information. You’re always free to verify anything I share.

@Chelsea Wright what is your Bar. license number? if you’re able to tell us, we can verify you.
Chelsea WrightJan 20, 2026
@Justina Emmanuel Thanks for asking, Justina, that’s a fair question. I’m not an attorney, so I don’t have a bar license number. I don’t represent myself as a lawyer here. I provide general immigration guidance and document support based on professional experience, not legal representation. I’m a verified immigration support professional on Fiverr, where clients hire me for case preparation and guidance, and I can provide verified reviews and successful outcomes from that platform. I also don’t take payments or offer services here. Anyone is always encouraged to verify information independently or consult a licensed attorney for legal advice.
