@C R Yes, if you don’t have a SSN yet, it will arrive once EAD is approved. it gets delivered separately and you could get the SSN about a week before the EAD card.

I received my EAD 10 days ago but the SSN has not yet arrived.

mine never arrived so I had to apply in person with my EAD card

@C R - Go into your local office and ask if you’ve been issued one. If not you can just apply there.

How long does it take for the SSN to be approved? I've been waiting for 4 months.

@Emma D social security is issued at the time the EAD is approved.

I called SSA and they told me that I must wait up to 30 days for the SSN to arrive, but that I can also go to the office to request one, so that's what I'll do, thank you for your answers.
