arrested but not charged
can anyone please advise me ? i filed for Vawa in October 2022. I was arrested last year October and was initially charged with a misdemeanor. however after explaining the situation. they dropped the charges. I have been reading that this will still need to be disclosed to the USCIS. my question is, can this affect my chances of approval?

No, just get the disposition letter and some good moral carácter letters

since your charges were dropped, it will not. but with vawa they might ask for more proof of good moral conduct which if they do send them a copy of the disposition, and don’t fail to mention it in your i-485, if you had already filed your i-485 prior to the arrest make sure to let the officer (if they call you in for an interview) about it carry copies of the disposition to show as proof, try and stay clear of the law. best of luck!

what if i applied for vawa on january 24 2023 and i recently got a pre trial diversion program to dimiss my case?
