Are Immigration Attorneys Creating More Fear Than Clarity?
Sometimes I feel like U.S. immigration is taking so long not because of the system itself, but because of the constant noise surrounding it.
Every day we see posts asking: Is it safe to travel on Advance Parole? Is domestic travel safe? Is it safe to travel with a Green Card?
There are millions of immigrants, and every case is unique. Of course there will always be people who are detained despite having a Green Card, people whose Advance Parole is revoked, or people who face unexpected issues with their immigration cases. Those situations are real, but they are not everyone’s experience.
What concerns me is that every time a new policy comes out, social media immediately fills with videos and posts focusing on the worst-case scenarios. Sometimes it feels like all of this attention ends up creating even more scrutiny. It’s almost as if the more fear is spread, the more attention is drawn to these cases.
I understand that attorneys need to educate people and share important legal updates, but I also think that constant fear-based content can make the immigration process feel even more stressful than it already is.
so that they can make more money.
That’s just my personal opinion.
