📍Are ASSETS ABROAD accepted? (NVC Stage)
Hey Everyone! ❤️ I'm here again with a doubt! My husband is the petitioner, therefore, the main sponsor for my visa, but he didn't make enough income from being with me in Brazil.
So my father-in-law will be my sponsor too (as household). I saw that the minimum value for 2024 changed, and now they ask for 150% of HHS Poverty Guidelines (2024). So my father-in-law will use Assets as a complement.
Could I use my assets from Brazil too (as a beneficiary) to help? (I have properties in BR, not in US). Or do they only accept Assets that are from the United States?
If anyone is in a similar situation and knows the answer, I would be immensely grateful.

my lawyer told me she didn’t want to use my assets even though I had more than enough to cover everything on my own (I am the beneficiary). not sure why but she wanted my husbands income to be high enough. maybe it’s easier to prove, I don’t know

they don’t really care how much the beneficiary has, they want to make sure the USC can provide for the foreigner
