Are all VAWA handled at NBC? How do you submit an expedite request
Hi all, #VAWA#765# #Expediterequest I just learned VAWA cases are usually handled at NBC. Is that the case for you all? I was trying to find out the status of an EAD which we submitted via marriage and was recently converted to VAWA with a 485. The agent at USCIS we spoke with cant identify where 765 or 485 are and that might be because of abeyance. we are trying to submit an expedite request based hardship which is popular but also the fact that we can show documentation of being in a field which is essentia.l It seems sensitive cases like VAWA only accept correspondence via mail. Is that accurate? How do you all check status progress of your case online if every correspondence is via mail

They were all handled in Vermont but since February 11 they all go to NBC. Yes you can only do it via mail. You can check your status online on MY USCIS or with your receipt number. Or they will mail you about the expedite request

I can tell by my case I send it to Vermont , then they send my case to nbc after a month when I receive my receipt they send back my case to Vermont.

how can I tell where my case is? it has been saying "your case status is unavailable at this time. We are working to get you accurate information as soon as possible" for about a month now🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️what does this mean please?

Why the back and forth @call me Sam ? @Yana Yana how can they mail me about expedited request when I am not able to contact them to request one in the first place? @Katrona Farrington I have the same issue you do have.

@Tete Noble you can mail in your expedite request. they just can't give you any info over the phone or emma

@Yana Yana I now follow. Thanks. is it truly the case that when you have different applications on file with USCIS and start a VAWA application all your cases go to the VAWA unit?

@Yana Yana yes because that is what happened to my I131 I130 and I485..I had the EAD prior to VAWA

@skylar . when they scheduled my interview for my I130 I submitted the 360 receipt notice and requested to have my 485 held in abeyance..... Just the other day I went in to cancel an appointment for my 130 took the 360 notice and they closed that case...So now basically all I have open now is the 360 and 485

@Noah Henry @Katrona Farrington can you tell me what does case status of I485 and 130 say now? how is your I485 transfered to your Vawa protected if your ex has the receipt numbers. that’s what I’m worried about.
