Approx. response time for I-130 filed online and when to submit I-485 for the separate filing
Hello Everyone,
My wife, a green card holder, filed an I-130 online on 10/31/2023 for my green card application. The priority date is 10/31/2023. Could anyone provide insights on the expected timeline for approval or response for an I-130 filed online? Additionally, when should we file the I-485 (Adjustment of Status)? Thank you!

You should wait until your wife becomes a Citizen to start your adjustment of status if not you will be in a big trouble.

Make sure you maintain a valid status when applying for i485, as a green card holder's spouse does not have a waiver and they will not accept the process without a valid status.

you could have sent the i485 with the i130 without any problems. but I believe that now you need to wait for the i130 to be approved and then send the i1485.

About i130 processing time, you can check the USCIS website by searching for "processing times". There you will inform which service center is taking care of your case: it is written in your notice. and the website generates the maximum estimated time they can approve your i130. releasing that this time is not precise, it is just an estimate.
