I’m actually about to start the same for my parents. what resources did you use to know what forms to use?

@Jose Salinas USCIS was the only resource I used. The instructions are in the forms i-130 and i-485 and I didnt use a lawyer. If you have specific questions, I am happy to help.

@HRH R I saw that link online and thought you were supposed to file other forms like the doctor form and the form to show financial support for parents, did you do that?

Yes, you file both. Form i-485 tells you other evidence including forms that you must submit (medical, birth certificate. etc?
