Hi Kennis, how long time have you been in the US before filing for N400? Secondly does that mean you filled while you're still with conditional 2 years resident?
T CALNov 21, 2022
what service center
Kennis LiNov 21, 2022
@ck ck - I've been in US for a while and yes filed with conditional green card. Did AOS within US
@T CAL - i751 service center was EAC then transferred to NBC/NYC local office once N400 was submitted

Thanks @kennis! So that means I can file for N400 while I still have a pending application of I-751? But that means I should have be in the US for 3 years before the filing of N400 regardless of my pending i-751?correct?
Eli SNov 21, 2022
Congrats Kennis! How soon was your I-751 application transferred to the NBC after you submitted N-400?
Kennis LiNov 21, 2022
@ckck - idk your case but if your i-751 is marriage based and you're still married to the same person, you can use the 90 day early filing calculator to see when can you file n400. there are other residence requirements you have to satisfy before applying

@Eli S - thank you! my i751 case was transferred about a week after I applied N400 online

hi Ck Ck - you can file for N400 after 2 years and 9 months from date when your conditional green card issued. There is N-400 eligibility calculator on USCIS website. You must be married to file N-400 if you intend to apply within 2 years and 9 months brecket.

@ Muhammad, thank you so much

@kennis congratulations. what questions did the officer asked you? And did you bring any updated evidence?
Kennis LiNov 26, 2022
@jj thank you! I did bring all kinds of evidence (ones I already submitted and the last 3 months of bills etc). He asked me what I have and told him, then he only wanted to see the marriage certificate and the current lease. He only asked the basic questions like my general info, the yes and no from N400, very simple questions about marriage. It was a chill conversation
