USCIS Approved K1..now NVC and Consulate?
Found out yesterday after a nice little notification from Lawfully popped up on my phone! Sending positive energy to all you that are waiting on that same notification. It is truly a test of your patience. Now on to the next part of this process.. I’m trying to see what the next part involves.
I foolishly thought that once USCIS approved the K-1 that meant she could legally come over and we could get married but I just read that it has to go to NVC then the US Embassy or Consulate in her home country (Ecuador).. maybe I’m misunderstanding something??
What was the process after you received the Approval notification for your K1? How long did it take to actually be cleared to come over? Thank you for any advice or information about your experience. The comments and post on this app really do help

hello! After they approve you to give you your case number it may take a month and a half, then you have to wait for the welcome letter which takes approximately 3 months. This is where they authorize your analyzes and your appointments for fingerprinting and your consular appointment.
