Approved Finally! (Case changed from F2A to IR1)
Texas Service Centre finally upgraded my case from F2A to IR1 after 50 days of creating service request. Approved on same day of upgrade and found approval notice in account on the 15th March, but status changed officially today to Approved. One step closer!

@joy mwendwa Citizenship timeline is different for everyone, I know some people for who it took 2 months but for some 6 months! It really depends… also my husband didn’t apply to speed up his citizenship, it was just normal processing and took 3.5 months.

@Cornel Tienyi We were in the same situation but we kept calling them and finally after 50 days they upgraded.

@RAVINDER SANDHU Only I-130 is approved yet, we are now progressing with consular processing so hopefully another 3-4 months.

@shuvo syed You have to let your service centre know that you are now a US Citizen, they won’t automatically update it. You can call them and raise a service request or send them a physical letter to upgrade. We preferred calling them to raise a service request

@shuvo syed You will get an email that they have upgraded your petition (we did too). But sometimes people don’t get the email and only get notification of approval. You could ring them to find out the status

@shuvo syed For us it was 50 days but for some people 24 hours, 5 days or 10 days - different for everyone
