Thank God! My GC approved today! After long wait today my dream came true! Case was in NBC.. Moved to Columbus OH (non-local) one week back! Today I see status ‘Case is being Produced’

@S P My reciept date was Dec 23.. They issued EAD and AP without biometrics but biometrics happend for 485 only last month on 17th..

@Amku k I really don’t. This is the problem .. there is no pattern to follow..I thought my case which was filed in Dec23 is lost as I did not get any biometrics.. Suddenly it came in July this year and within a month case got approved…

Thanks everyone! USCIS this time looks very active! My GC was approved on 16th and today status got updated as ‘Card was mailed’ … With 4 working days card was mailed! Looking forward to the arrival of my card… Dream come true, finally after a long wait! Always result of wait is always very sweet!!!

@Warm wishes It was delivered by NBC. Normally, field office does final adjudication and inform NBC. NBC issues approval notice

Congratulations @G L . that's the sweetest news of all. your priority date was 2020 and what's the receipt date for Dec 2023? I485 application? I assume you did not file concurrently?

@Sreekanth Sugnyanamurthy I think I there was typo. My PD was March 2017 which was ported. Filed I140 in Dec23. I140 was approved in Jan24 and I485 aporoved in Aug24. It was sent to non-local FO and it approved in 5 working days upon receipt at FO. Got cards in 5 working days

the way porting happening from EB2 to EB1 for India , seems EB1 PD not going to reach current near future may be it reaches when EB2 reaches current . I am not saying porting is illegal just giving my observation.

@my moto Porting is not a new phenomenon and happening from ages. Having said this, porting is not easy as one thinks as companies can not do it randomly as per their wish in terms of numbers per year! secondly, person should qualify for EB1 and thirdly, USCIS is now a days approving porting only if it is convinced by condidate’s eligiblity and evidence. They have even reached out sponsering companies validating evidence. I know few cases where they have asked company to validate. I have seen several case which are refused,of-late. No one report her such refusals we only hear success stories.

@G L - porting is not new but problem is many porting applications going in queue of pending 485 until decision made that’s why they are not taking new applications , people who are coming from L1 need to wait to file 485 by the time many will be maxing out .
