Approved!
EB1-C, Canadian L1A to EB1-C took 9 days. Our kids had their I-765 approved 2 weeks ago and we were hopeful of a fast approval for GCs soon-after and we were right. My kids and spouse had an RFE for birth certificates, too. Happy to answer any questions

Why USCIS send birth certificate rfe if already submitted?

congratulations @Kristine B! @Charlie SC this is not uncommon. I submitted on March 24th and received my receipt on April 22nd and on May 9th they sent an RFE for my wife’s birth certificate (even though we had sent it).

Great News and it's quite fast and does your 131 or 765 approved?
Charlie SCJul 1, 2024
@B J then we have to just send the same certificate again?
B

@Charlie SC that’s what I did with a cover note

@B J, please remind me, was your biometric updated something in June? If so, it means that USCIS even starts processing application before biometrics is updated. For example, they asked for birth certificate of your spouse.

@Rijo Rijo June 7th. the RFE was an RFIE so was probably issued when they were putting the files into the system (May 9th RFIE- May 17th biometric appointment - June 7th biometric applied to case)

@Joe joe No updates on 131 nor 765. I’d imagine they don’t move now that we’ve got the green card and we don’t need them

@Charlie SC Seemed to be a common thing! I didn’t receive the RFE but my husband and 2 kids did. My lawyer resubmitted the same birth certificates with a kind letter ;)

@B J, got it.

@Kristine B, most of us have similar trend as yours. Kids got EAD before parents. However, yours diversed since it went straight to GC instead of EAD which is what some of us (@B J ) are observing now. Just curious to know where the difference might be 😀. Trying to "guestimate" USCIS.

@Rijo Rijo Such a black box! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you :)
