Approval of I485
Alhamdulillah. Finally my journey has come to an end. I got my GC in hand. It was an extraordinary & extremely long ride with so much physical, mental and financial abuses in it. Today, I'm so happy and at the same time sad as I couldn't get to see my mother. as she passed away while I was waiting my for work permit and parole to be approved. She died in November, 2024. Weeks after, both my WP & parole got approved and eventually Vawa got approved in February, 2025. I came in this country in 2015. I just don't want to share the abuses happened before I filed VAWA as if go word-by-word, it would be multiple essays. I just want to share a recent incident. have a daughter with the abuser. The last time I went to see her, I was told if you ever attempt to see her again, that would be last time you would see her as ICE will be behind you. She threw the toys and dress I bought for her into the bin and took the picture and sent it to me saying "those cheap items from an illegal like you isn't worth it for her". This incident happened around the first week of last November, 14th was my daughter's birthday and on 21st, my mother died in my home country. No matter what happens whatever money or happiness you get in life, this sort of moments are very hard to erase from your memory forever. This time I'll fight for my daughter and I'll make sure that she knows she has a dad who cares for and loves her no less than her mom. I'm writing this as my daughter is 7 years old and has some form of autism. I assume many individuals haven't gone through situations like mine but at the same time, there may be some who have faced way worse I wish all the best to everyone else awaiting in this journey. But one thing I can assure, I'll never treat or behave to people on the basis of their immigration status even though I faced such situation from others especially the person whom I married and used to love. I'll try to remain humble. In other words, I'll just be same guy I was before the approval. Sorry for such a lengthy post. I usually don't post. I wish all the best who're awaiting in this journey.

I understand your pain over the loss of your mother. I lost both my father and mother during this immigration journey. And I was still married to my abuser. And to this day, I haven't been able to return to my country. And I still have two years to wait for my case to be heard. Certain situations in life leave lasting scars on our hearts. Congratulations on your achievement, and I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. God bless you.πŸ™πŸΌβœ¨

@Hifyberry ify a double gratitude for such sweet words. referring to your last sentence, my ex-wife is also an immigrant but she had this mindset of her breed should be the last of it and no other people should come to this country. I'm saying that because I heard that telling her to her sister. She immediately tried to correct herself that she was joking as I was around. Anyway I second your opinion. We should be ourselves regardless of immigration status and never let that arrogance get ahead of ourselves when/if get the immigration done.

@In Jesus name. Amen! your second sentence just resonates. We, especially when we're separated/divorced are afraid to discuss things with others out of public shaming. lack of immigration status, failed marriage, no job all these come into the play. in my case, Only a handful of Individuals knew and that also part of the abuses. I wish you best in your case if it's still pending

@MD ABDULLAH AL MAMUN Congratulations!! can I please ask you a question on the i485, I’m lost, on the 57-66, in the household income, liabilities etc, we fill that, right., and should we add any evidence for that part? or filling that out it’s all we need to do? also do you mind sharing what you got your RFE for? Thank you so much @MD ABDULLAH AL MAMUN
