originally filed Form I-130 for my spouse on February 2, 2023, at which time I was a Lawful Permanent Resident (green card holder). The petition has been pending since that date. On October 2025, I became a naturalized U.S. citizen. Shortly after my naturalization, I updated my status online with USCIS and mailed letters requesting that my I-130 petition be upgraded from the F2A category to the Immediate Relative (IR) category. I included copies of my Certificate of Naturalization and my I-130 receipt notice with those letters. As of today, I have not yet received confirmation that my case has been upgraded. Additionally, 10 days ago, my congresswoman’s office submitted an inquiry to USCIS on my behalf, and I am currently awaiting a response.
