Applying for OPT EAD with pending I485
Hello everyone. I’m due to graduate this December and I have a pending I-485 (together with I-765 and I-131). There hasn’t been any movement on my case. Do you think this could affect my OPT application that im just about to submit? Anyone that has experienced this will truly be appreciated.

my friend was in the exact same situation and no, pending 485 did not effect his OPT application!

The only impact will be if your i485 is rejected. That may cancel your OPT because F1 visa is not a dual intention visa.

You shouldn't have a problem if you have not violated the terms of your F1 status.
