Applied for N400 but GC shows wrong resident since date
N400 was denied, now I have refiled again, but concerned about one thing...
My N400 application was denied back in October 2022 because **the resident since date was incorrect** on my GC and I applied before I completed the required 5-year residency requirement.
At the time of the interview the IO told me that I could file a I90 and get the fee waived, but that if I just wanted to keep the incorrect GC and apply when I was eligible that would be fine as well. She said that having an incorrect date wouldn't impact my next application as long as I was eligible, and that the wait times for a new GC was 16-19 months and by that time I would be eligible again.
I decided not to get a new GC/ file I90 because:
1. I heard that even if I got it replaced that the new card could still have an incorrect date
2. The wait time was 16-19 months and I was eligible in 16 months or so
Now I've refiled my N-400 again, but I'm worried I might get in trouble during the interview for not filing an I90? I know I obviously won't be getting the same IO again, and I don't know if this will cause problems for me down the line. I am eligible for the N400 on all other criteria, however, just the resident date on my GC is wrong. I do know my correct resident date because it's stated on the denial letter, so I used that to file my new application.
