that information might be wrong, call and chat them up some more, these customer support agents be giving people wrong information. we have similar case and mine never get transferred to asylum office, my case was approved in July and my asylum is still pending.

@favor me👩🏽‍💼 thanks for sharing your experience. I called and chatted with customer support they told me it’s with Washington Local Field Office. I found out through my congresswoman that it was transferred to Asylum office. Maybe I should just wait what happens next if it’s USCIS internal process. Because almost 1 month passed since my I-130 approved and no GC yet :))

@Aug 25 2022 you would have to complete your i485 marriage based. Once your adjustment of status is completed, send a notice to asylum office about withdrawal of your application because you believe you are no longer in fear.

We have very similar situations. My I-130 was approved 3 months, and still waiting for my I-485 approval through marriage. I also have a pending asylum with uscis 🫤

@Aug 25 2022 yes, my i130 was approved a day before i485, it was transferred to my field office (Houston, TX) and was approved 3days later. interview was waived, I have also sent a withdrawal letter for my asylum and never heard anything back.

@Aug 25 2022 i did! they said that my case is within normal processing time (Charleston office is taking 21 months approximately)

Hello!! Any news? I found out through the senate that my field office requested my asylum application file last year and that’s why they haven’t process my green card. The senate is requesting an status about the transfer to the Arlington office.

@sofi g no news at all:( probably they are waiting the same thing for my case as well at the field office. Or they sent Aos case to Asylum office. I don’t know exactly what’s happening with mine. I reached out recently the Field office they told me to wait only “we are processing your case” that’s it. I’m really tired of it. next month I will proceed with Writ of Mandamus which is 3k. but I want to receive my GC already.

@Aug 25 2022 wait until your case turns 2 years, so you can at least get a 10 year green card
