AOS Change Employer?
I will reach job portability shortly. My current i-485J is approved as of last month. If I decide to leave my current employer when I reach 6 mos portability after i-485 filing, can I continue the green card process without starting over PERM and i-140?
I am under H1B and my wife under H4, would we have to transfer the H visas to the new employer too?
Do you recommend me staying at my current company until GC? I am current.

you need to transfer the employer with H1b status. I would stay with the same employer if I'm current.

I also recommend staying until you get yout GC, but you can switch jobs if you want to after 6 months of pending i-485 without having to start over.
