it happened sometimes because the I-485 in the field office take longer time for interview u don’t need to tell USCIS anything. they know that ur I-130 was approved i-130 approved means USCIS believed that ur marriage is bonafide

Filing days apart doesn’t mean you filed concurrently. They approved your I-130 only without scheduling an interview because they think you are overseas. You need to request for a tier two officer or write to your service center to link the two applications. Filing concurrently means that you put the different applications in the same packet

@jude I don't have my combo card yet! I filed 6 months after applying for AOS. I had EAD card from my OPT at the time of filing my AOS, and I naively thought green card would come fast🥲 After realizing the reality, I filed for combo card so that I can use after my current OPT ead expire. hopefully they come fast...

@Rocco is paramount that you know what ur saying before you say them. due to backlog uscis is approving a lot of marriage cases without interview. my sisters marriage based case was just approved two days ago without interview and she’s just been married for a year and one month. he sent his i130 receipt with his i485 application so they know that but they approved his i130 application because they officer believes that his marriage is bonafide that does not mean he wouldn’t need an interview

uscis uses something called the legacy system to search and make sure you don’t have other applications, they know you have a pending i485

i sent i-130 separately. 15 months later it’s not been approved yet, when I sent my AOS package, I include the I-130 receipt letter. they know I’m not filing it abroad. and many people do file i-130 online, get the receipt letter and sent the other package together with I-130 letter and still considered concurrently

@domino your case and@AA’s case aren’t similar. His I-130 was approved, yours is still processing. Clearly not the same thing

many people got their I-130 approved because it was processed in different place with i-485. I-485 move from service center to field office and sometime the field office was delayed to do interview due to backlog

I filed 130 & 485 concurrently. Interview in Dec my 130 got approved Feb 1st. 485 still pending
