AOS BASED ON K-1 Visa
Hello, I’m just curious as to how long our process will take. I brought my husband into the U.S on a k-1 visa and we filed the AOS in March of this year. He had his biometrics on April 10, 2023 and ever since then the status on his case changed to being actively reviewed. How much longer do we have to wait for an interview?

Same situation as me, but applied one month earlier. My case was transferred to my local field office one month after biometrics. Then I received an rfe for a document I already submitted with my initial application and that was two months ago. Still waiting…

thank you!! I’m praying that it only takes 6 months but we’ll see! since his visa does expire on July🫠

cross fingers but either way he started the process when he was in good standing I think they may look at the fact that his visa was about to expire but I’m sure you both can give a logical reason if that does come up @Jackeline sanchez all the best

it doesn’t matter if his visa expires or not. as long as you’re married in 3 months and have an active case you have nothing to worry about
