AOS Approved: Sharing My Journey and Hope for Others
After almost 10 months, my GC has been approved!
I’m married to a U.S. citizen, and we are a same-sex couple with a significant age difference, which I believe might be the reason we were selected for an interview.
Our interview was on 1/14, and the officer was incredibly kind. At the end of the interview, she said, “I believe you, and I don’t see any issues. I will approve you now.”
Hearing those words, I was overwhelmed with relief and couldn’t help but cry. This journey has been so difficult, especially as my father, who lives in Taiwan, was diagnosed with cancer. I’ve been longing to go home to see him.
The AOS process is truly challenging, but this moment made it all worth it.

hi @Lucas Liu After how long did you receive the letter for the date and time of your interview? I received the notification 8 days ago but I still don't have the time or date of my interview.

@angie chavarro Hi Angie, we got the phone call from a USCIS agent on 1/3, she gave us two time slots on 1/14 to choose. A week later, on 1/10, we received the notice by mail. I recommend you contact Emma on USCIS website. They might have this information.
