yup. same situation for me but I did secondary inspection in Canada (you go through customs before entering the US) and it took about 5 minutes in the back room.

I applied twice , never got any I131 Approved in my 930 days long waiting . You are lucky to have one valid for 5 years long to travel as a normal person . I lost my job as I could not fly like a normal people for works .

@Victoria chan I applied on 2022, it took me one year to be approved after I send an inquiry. Then, I never received the document. Was not easy at all.

@Emily Afo it is made of USCIS to use it. Just in case, get all your documents about the emergency, about your situation with USCIS and SS, EAD.

@Pam Pi If you can share , what documents you needed for the emergency request, I have been waiting for 1 year for my renew advance parole case and in October I definitely need to go to my home country🙏

@tiko tiko EB 3 Other worker I don’t know if my experience will guide you, because I request an emergency document, but, at the end, they printed the one that was already approved, so it did not travel with an emergency AP. but I your need more infor, I can detail what I did.

I share my experience: I got all documents for emergency and translate them, then I called Uscis to explain my situation and they told me they will call soon. after few days, i received the call and I had to explain again why I need the appointment to get the emergency advance parole. the agent set an appointment for after 2 weeks. I went to field office with all documentation about my status and the emergency, agent ask my EAD, check information and then print the 5 years AP already approved.

@Emily Afo sure. I carried all original notices of action of my case, my marriage certificate, EAD, emergency documenta but I was not required any of them.
