@rosy, you can use your prima Facie to get your state I'd including driver's license

@ Rosy Ann & @ D morgan I got Driver's License in FL. Take in old work permit (if you have 1), Social Security Card (if you have 1), Original or copy of 797 receipt for i130 VAWA along with Original or Copy of Prima Facie, Passport, proof of address (if you have something not as important) and your old Driver's License if you had one. My old 1 had expired past 2 years so I had to re-do the written test and pay for the new license. They said it would take potentially up to 60 days to get the new License in the mail though on average it takes up to 21 days. I did mine 2 weeks ago and still waiting on it. In the meantime, they gave me a temporary license (a printed paper with my old license attached) which I can use to drive until the official license arrives. The License is good for 1 year. If you have to book the DMV appointment online (FL is still not doing walk ins), make sure to find a DMV location that does Non-immigrant Driver's License/ Renewals. Some DMV locations do not have the experience or ability to issue the Driver's License for VAWA. If your location allows you to call then ask questions before you go. I would also take a print out copy of what VAWA allows you to receive. Also, if the person you speak to has no idea what you are asking about, ask to speak to a Supervisor or their Manager...they should know more. Good Luck! I also downloaded the free DMV practice test app for my state to practice the written test, because if you pass on the first try you don't have to pay for the test, just for the License. It's $54 for the Driver's License in FL and I think the test is an additional $10. Good Luck!

have you gotten any I'd before ? if yes you can get it but if no, you have to wait for your EAD

@Siva...does uscis update your i131 and i765 if they use the biometric fingerprints from the i485 and i360?

what was your priority date and when did you do your fingerprints?

@Siva..submitted september..did fingerprints late January but fingerprints updated for I485 not the others

I am august 23rd hope we will get ours ead and travel permit soon.

hey you all I have done some research right and realize that for the ead there are different categories to get the ead c31 you get after approval and c9 you get within 5-6 months. what category did you all file? is this true in regards to the category?
