I have a similar timeline but started 2 weeks earlier… except my 130 is still received, not approved. I think it’s a normal timeline, just not a lucky one. @jyo bat

did you get RFE for 485 as I feel RFE delays it even more but … for medical RFEs the action seems to much faster vs others. our RFE was not even crazy.. just last year tax return and it was submitted online 8 months ago not sure why it taking for ages.

my RFE was responded to 10 months ago on the 485 and there has not been a single update since.

@w s 🇨🇦🇺🇸 same here my ref was replied in Oct 2023. my mom got her AP travel document so she is now going for some time for her medical tests … what to do so long… they start a new clock after RFE so crazy!!!

@jyo bat yea I got my travel permit in May and I’m about to use it tomorrow! even if they started the clock when my RFE was received, most people are approved in less than 10 months?

@w s 🇨🇦🇺🇸 well before covid timelines were different but I think ever since they did that financial 864 sponsorship from 2023, there are way more RFEs and delays. we even sent my mom medical with application, I worry they don’t ask us to redo as it is more than a year of processing 😔

you only have to redo it if you pass 2 years which is unlikely. if you get a medical again it never expires. luckily they changed that recently

@jyo bat my 130 was approved end of July but nothing on the 485. I traveled on my AP a few weeks ago to and from Canada and no issues. took me 5 minutes in secondary inspection.

@w s 🇨🇦🇺🇸 ok good to know no travel concerns. my mom is leaving next week for 3-4 months as her medicals are overdue and some ENT issues. I hope she gets back smoothly on AP. while leavening from US did you show AP or only while at the port of entry?

@jyo bat no you just leave the country. you need the AP to come back. that was my experience but I traveled to Canada. Canada and the US are very friendly so I’m not sure if any other steps If it’s not Canada. I recommend you go on Reddit and ask about traveling on AP with your specific home country.

@w s 🇨🇦🇺🇸 my mom case just got approved. she was leaving tomorrow for India on her AP 🥹and the update came today. she is checked in for flight n all now n with less than 24 hrs I may not change her flight to wait for physical card. I wish the approval have come 2-3 days before n I would have changed her itenary but hey no more complaints. I will travel in Dec and give her physical card to return back in January. atleast while entering she will have card/ approval notice n no stress of Travel document etc.
