I submitted my case on October 3, 2025, and it was received on October 7. Then, on November 3, my fingerprints were taken. Since then, the status hasn't changed; it only indicates that the fingerprints were taken in November and linked to the form. I don't know whether I should be worried or not, because it's been almost a year with no changes

@Syriana Asylee Well I tried asking agent one of them said it’s located at your local fo another said still at nbc don’t know which one to believe

@waiting alot the one who had access to the internal system, the other one simply read the public api for you which you can see it yourself. my case is at SB office but the system still displays NBC because even though the case at SB, NBC still have to produce the documents for you once approved by FO to my knowledge. if the system is showing absolutely that your case was routed back to NBC that’s probably good news also because it means the FO reached a decision on your case and routed back to NBC to produce the documents. i wish you good luck, we are in a very similar boat and timeline and I think we might hear something soon together at the same time, seems like one batch

@Syriana Asylee yeah hopefully this is the case, I’m also optimistic since now it seems like they are completing 2024 cases and then probably move to 2025 although I still haven’t seen anyone from 2025 get approval, do you know by any chance?

@waiting alot I actually checked the MSC batch around my receipt number. There are definitely FY2025 MSC I-485 cases that have already been approved/card mailed. So they’re definitely not processing strictly “finish 2024 first, then start 2025.” The only limitation is the bulk tracker doesn’t tell us the basis of each I-485, so I can’t say those are asylum-based specifically. It looks more like different batches/categories are moving in parallel

@waiting alot Yes, I did too. Mine was July 15, 2026, just four days after yours on July 11. And our filing dates are basically identical too, mine was May 22, 2025 and yours May 23. So our cases are actually extremely similar: asylum-based, same filing period, second biometrics within four days of each other, and both apparently having conflicting NBC/local FO information from agents. Definitely keep me updated if yours moves and I’ll do the same

@waiting alot One more question since our timelines are so close, what MSC receipt block are you in? You don’t need to post the full receipt number, just something like MSC25905xxxxx or even the first 7–8 digits after MSC. I’m trying to see whether we’re also in the same receipt cohort

@waiting alot Yes, I am. That actually makes our cases even more comparable, same asylum basis, almost identical filing dates, second biometrics within a few days of each other, and apparently the same MSC cohort. are you in these two specific blocks by any chance? MSC259053 or MSC259054?

@Syriana Asylee I’m 52, so some people believe this second fingerprint update is another round of background check for banned countries and it doesn’t necessarily mean case moving forward!

@waiting alot okay, MSC259052, so we’re actually not in the same exact receipt block. That makes it even more interesting that you got the second fingerprint update July 11 and I got mine July 15. I agree it could be another security/background-check round for this cohort, and by itself it definitely doesn’t guarantee an approval soon. In my case I’m watching it more closely because an Emma agent also saw separate internal transfer to FO in august 2025, and an officer activity on July 23 2026 that says the case was pending adjudication with nothing outstanding and interview waiver notice. So I’m trying to distinguish the fingerprint refresh itself from what happened internally afterward

@waiting alot Did an Emma agent ever see an internal activity date after your July 11 biometrics update? that’s the most important update you can get from them

@waiting alot yes in process, but this the lawfully app tag, it doesn’t mean anything, your actual current action code stays as FNG. I’m not considering filing anything or requesting a tier 2 officer callback before November. for my FO the average processing time is 16-18 months, so i will let the time pass before considering any action
