if yes what was the inquiry respond? what is background check and security check actually is? is it last step like they just waiting whatever its to resolve so they can decide to decision ?

waiting since Nov 2020, same response. background check. probably that’s the last step before approval God willing. never got any rfe just bunch of pf. meanwhile the ban is another hitch at this time

@tired from waitingg that's too much. find some legal aid or something to help you file a mandamus. I'm already at the 4 years my self, if they take me to the 5 years I'm out of here I'll leave and go back, I'm exausted and bored can't do that any more.

Feb 2019 ! and they send a RFE last year october! and I did a lot of inquiries and they always answer that was on background check .. so I’m not sure if it is the last step

@K-MB I didn’t get any RFE so far, the last congressman response shows that my case is still in the background check stage. My lawyer advised me to wait instead of sending too many inquiries. He said that background checks usually take about 6 months to 1 year. According to him, the message I received is just a generic update about the background check, don’t trust it.

if you guys are stuck why don’t you get fbi background check and interpol check and your home country clearance and send it to uscis I think that helps @tired from waitingg

@tired from waitingg I heard many times that when you update and provide more documents especially what they need I think that helps if I were I would write a one page cover letter putt all the clearance reports and mail uscis center
