Anyone here F2A + from banned countries??
Hi everyone, Is anyone here in the F2A visa category and from one of the 12 countries affected by Trump’s travel ban (like Iran, Yemen, etc.)? What are you planning to do? Or do you have any idea what we can do now? Would love to hear from others in the same boat 🙏 #f2a

I had my U.S. immigrant visa interview on September 19, 2024, at the U.S. Embassy in Djibouti. On May 19, 2025, I received an email from the embassy stating that my Administrative Processing (AP) was completed, and I was asked to drop off my passport and a new medical exam. I complied and submitted everything. However, they returned my passport without a visa, stating that I was subject to the Trump-era travel ban. Recently, in July 2025, my mother became a U.S. citizen and received her naturalization certificate. Has anyone experienced a case where their F2A (child of a green card holder) category was upgraded to IR2 (child of a U.S. citizen) after the parent naturalized?
