my timeline: April 2, 2021: USCIS received my case September 21, 2021: case being actively reviewed by USCIS November 9, 2021: EAD approved. Card being produced. November 12, 2021: card was produced November 12, 2021: I-797 approval received November 15, 2021: card was picked up by USPS November 17, 2021: EAD (form I-766) received/delivered. Center: Nebraska Receipt number: IOE-09-112-63xxx Category: C8, renewal.

Lilo did you expedite your case ?

I did but I doubt it did anything. the USCIS agent I spoke on the phone with the week after I had submitted the ER told me that he was seeing my ER still pending (not assigned to anyone yet) on his screen, and he was also seeing my case in line to be adjudicated any moment between that week and the week after with or without the ER anyways. the week after my case was approved. so, it's highly possible that the ER did nothing as C8 category in Nebraska takes 5.5 to 7.5 months. my case was approved one week short of 7.5 months. 🙂

vee - no. the USCIS website shows the C9 category taking about 10 to 12 months at the Nebraska center: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

i filed in Jan, bio early March and still nothing (((( 302 days already

Waiting - yes, it does seem like you are in for a few more months. At least another 5 months and at most 7 if nothing changes in the meantime.

Katerina - I think you should contact USCIS because from January till now, your case is outside processing time if this process is supposed to take about 8 months. I would suggest that you call USCIS during their operation time and inquire about your case and processing times for cases like yours.
