anyone else with an RFE issued this summer?
applied I-485 October 2020. biometrics March 2021. RFE issued June 2021 (medical). Sent in RFE response august and USCIS received and started working on case again September 8th. it’s now been two months… seems long? anyone else approved by now with a similar timeline? I’m hoping for approval before January

if I may ask you... when you received a query for the Medical.. was it mentioned RF initial Evidence or RF additional evidence...? I received a notification yesterday it stated additional evidence. Wondering what it's for ?

I was given additional rfe too, but was about my certifications.

thanks sid. how do I open that up?
K
Kim ENov 4, 2021
it was initial evidence

call USCIS number and they will be able to open for you

hoping that RFe was from service center Texas or Lincoln
K
Kim ENov 4, 2021
thanks Sid. my RFE was from Texas - why does that matter?
s
sid pNov 4, 2021
just check your RFe on first page they should have paragraph mentioning when you can call them to open SR. usually for service center it’s 60 days and for FO it’s shorter than that
K
Kim ENov 4, 2021
okay thank you
S KNov 5, 2021
I submitted on Sep 24 in the FO. When checked with the agents, they still asked to wait for 60 days. Just waiting…
K
Kim ENov 5, 2021
ah okay… I’ll check again then in a few days for me

same boat. EB1, applied in October 2020, biometrics on April 1, submitted RFE response on July 28 and still waiting. raised an sr after 60 days that they immediately closed saying it’s still being processed.
K
Kim ENov 5, 2021
Terrible. they’ll probably just close mine too. did you call or raise one online?
a
aR INov 5, 2021
I raised it online through Emma. the online agent raised it for me. this system is broken beyond belief. I’m seeing people who filed in May/June of this year getting their cards.
K
Kim ENov 5, 2021
yeah I’ve seen that too. seems to just be all over the place
a
aR INov 5, 2021
I’m now convinced that if you don’t get it early and within the timeframe majority folks get it, you’re probably waiting much longer. because it seems like applications just get lost in this system only to be resurfaced after you go all in with congressman, writ of mandamus etc. I really hope it doesn’t come down to that. :(
K
Kim ENov 5, 2021
I expected mine to be later because I got the RFE.. but yeah even my lawyers said they’d be very surprised if it’s not done by the end of the year
a
aR INov 5, 2021
I really hope what you’re saying is true! fingers crossed
K
Kim ENov 5, 2021
what’s your thing saying on here? mine is saying a 60% chance of getting approved before December 7th
a
aR INov 8, 2021
I’m past my original 60% chance of approval prediction on Oct 28. now I have 24% chance it’ll come by Jan 23. I don’t think these numbers are reliable, at least not from what I’ve seen so far
K
Kim ENov 9, 2021
They have now increased my probability to 62% that I’m getting approved before January. I don’t know what they’re basing the numbers off of. I just opened a case or whatever it’s called about not getting a response in 60 days. The agent said it’ll take them 30 days to reply by email
s
sid pNov 9, 2021
lol if initial 60 days were not enough then what makes them to do wrap up in 30 days??
K
Kim ENov 9, 2021
it’s not even a promise of wrapping up it’s just a reply lol. reply might say “keep waiting”
s
sid pNov 9, 2021
I am tired of waiting
a
aR INov 9, 2021
I mean it’s obvious - basically they’re shutting your mouth for 30 days by saying you’ll hear back in that time. they don’t actually intend to do anything. in my case a tier 1 officer responded the same day with a generic response
a
aR INov 9, 2021
@sid p, tell me about it. I was considering a senators inquiry but concerned it’s still “too soon” for that given average delays
K
Kim ENov 9, 2021
yeah I’m not expecting any miracles… haven’t seen my family in 2 years and I had a baby this summer. so getting a little desperate
a
aR INov 9, 2021
@kim E, in my case the app keeps increasing the probably of a decision for a date range in the past lol. it’s not reliable.
K
Kim ENov 9, 2021
lmao. great
