anyone else waiting for I-130 decision?
It sucks because my family applied me back in 2018 with an I-485 and I-765. USCIS said we had some errors so we had to resubmit. I-765 got accepted and was able to work since then. COVID happened and after 5 years of waiting, we called USCIS to see if they can process my I-130 and I-485 faster since it was way past the processing time. A few weeks later, I was informed I was denied… We waited for so long and they should’ve just told us when they told us we had errors but no. They just made us waste our time with hoping. I was so guilty with the thought that maybe I shouldn’t have called them… I felt like I lost hope. Turns out our lawyers at that time were wrong. I was only supposed to send an I-130 and not yet an I-485. So here we are, back to square one. Submitted an I-130. UNEMPLOYED and counting on student loans since I have no job and my parents don’t make enough money. Anyone else waiting and just feels so hopeless… #I130 #waiting

I’m sorry. perhaps you can reach out to a congressperson to help you? this timeline is not long yet, but the fact that you have been at this since 2018 might warrant some extra help to expedite. good luck

I am trying to understand how can you submit I-130 and I-485 at the same time without I-130 being approved first. USCIS is currently reviewing applications submitted on or before January 2017. Your story doesn’t make sense.

@Za daughter S My dad is a US Citizen and my mom was still in the process. My dad filed me with I-485 and I-130 because our lawyer at the time said we can. When in truth, we cannot since I wasn’t born here and another reason that I cannot disclose and won’t disclose to YOU. He filed I-485 and I-130 since he is a CITIZEN. After years had passed, my mom was granted a permanent residence. then after being sent “intent to deny” and “denied” TWICE from my DAD’s filing, we spoke to a different lawyer and they informed us to file under my MOM instead, who is a PERMANENT RESIDENT. Hence why, if you read the last paragraph, I am back to square one and submitted only an “I-130” this time.

@an u Submission of I-485 together with I-130 is impossible for F2B cases. Your lawyer is a fraudster. Submission and approval of I-765 caused some very serious concerns as well as it is attached to unapproved I-130. 2018 is not even close to being current for any visas to be issued. So, again I don’t know what your case is but it is weird.

@Za daughter S obviously it’s going to be weird for you because you don’t know, nor understand the whole situation as to why things led to the way they are. I don’t need an explanation on why you can’t submit an I-485/ I-765 case with an I-130 because I am well aware of the mistakes my parents made during the time. I asked in this thread if anyone else is waiting for their I-130 not if anyone can help me understand what I did wrong.
