I had bio on June 24 and in the next day my case was updated for "Ready to be scheduled an interview". - USCIS NY Field

@Vivi wow that a great a news. mine is still showing as fingerprint were taken. Is that mean you jumped to interview without getting temp. EAD.

@JamSamson I have no idea. Nobody here had the same situation. I'm waiting. Idk if I will get the EAD as the next step or if they will send me an appointment for the interview.

my husbands went to ready to schedule interview the next day after bio was complete-4 months after we had interview and 2 months later green card produced good luck-

appt was scheduled but no EAD in hands till a week before interview- which worked out great-

Waiting for more than 3 months now for EAD and GC interview to be scheduled

sachem I waited almost 4 months for EAD AP to be approved- being patient is the key to your sanity- it will come just be prepared have all your documents - ask family friends and priest to sign and notarize that they know your married

it’s ok to have the interview without the EAD approved- your gc gives you authorization automatically-

@AK Kolio yeah but it's a nonsense process. The EAD is meant for allowing you to work while you wait for your GC, so you need the EAD asap, not together with the GC.

well from what I understand pre coronavirus days people were done in 6 to 8 months and had little time inbetween so they were happy to be done- now with coronavirus days waiting 9 months just to have biometrics is crazy enough that once it’s approved 6 months later or less and the interview was completed in between yeah that’s the better choice at that point- in a perfect world it would roll out like that but if you’ve waited forever for just the biometrics and the interview comes 1 month after that - I would say you’re better off then waiting for an EAD then waiting another 8 months for an interview- my interview was scheduled before my EAD was approved I definitely was not complaining- my interview was scheduled 03/05- my EAD was approved 03/19 so in my case my gc would have came before my EAD with no complaints on my end

@AK Kolio yeah, you are right, in the end with the GC on hands we can't complain, but they really should improve their process.

I completely agree there needs to be a better process in place- but I can attest that the day of my husbands interview - with masks on the place was packed- and they were doing their best for our safety in social distancing us- so I can say the process is moving but the delay of this viras is what’s killing the process at this point- so I wholeheartedly say if they give you the green card in 5 months in hand instead of waiting another 8 months I will take it-

I was patient- I’m a Taurus and Taurus people are very very patient- I never once called immigration I never once escalated my case - I just trusted in gods timing through the case- yea at 1 point after the interview which by the way was not the best- our IO was pissed at us and yelled at us at the top of his lungs- I thought for sure he was throwing our case straight into Lake Michigan - it wasn’t that there was dishonesty it was my husbands interpreter who also introduced us answered the question how we met instead of asking my husband lol but my husband don’t understand English so it didn’t make a difference he reasked him in Greek

@Suman, congrats! let us know how your status changes. mine got approved last week, on Sunday changed status to “card mailed to me” and nothing since then.
