Columbus OH - interview on 1/3/2022 status still says interview was scheduled. extremely basic interview & yes no questions.

interviewed 1/10 in Houston. i130 was approved yesterday, i485 still pending.

right, just asking, a lady interviewed us she was very nice, we were hoping for approval on spot

so were we. he was nice but extremely rushed.

yeah, I am unsure what that means in the long run though, it was right on the day it was ready for inquiry from me so I wonder if that's why. he said he had to check some paperwork as he literally looked at our application for the first time as we walked in. so he was constantly shuffling papers around during the interview. they are clearly overwhelmed and I don't blame them. but I worry cause it's my life if their burnout causes a mixup. I'll let you know if I have an update. would like to hear from you as well.

yes of course, we have been waiting for more than 2 months now:( I understand ur concern, we are all confused as of why we were not approved

also recently got an update on i485 what my fingerprints were applied to case, not sure what that means

I did get an update that it was updated to show my fingerprints were taken, but I haven't gotten 'applied to case' maybe that means they initiated a background check? I always thought that was done before the interview. anyway, it does mean they are working on your case, hopefully you'll get more news soon.

Y L: how was your experience, i have upcoming interview in 10 days

mine was nice! we took our 3 yo toddler and I was mainly worried about his behavior lol. but everything was good interview was 30-40 min overall, just went through application and confirmed things, went under review tho, we don't know why :(

what's your pd?

same here, although rushed and chaotic they mainly asked to confirm things in our application. make sure you go through your employment and address history. We had some trouble remembering exact dates. wasn't taken as a problem, but it didn't help with the chaos. (I made sure to be exact in the application but didn't think they would ask which date we moved 5 years ago)
