still waitinf since December 2020, I have my bio appointment in two weeks after 11 months of wait.

Filed March 2022 - I got my ead a month ago . I-485 says case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. I’m based in Houston , TX

@God is Good, Do you mind sharing the last four digits of your case? my case was filed in May and my bio was taken in june.

I filed EAD extension Feb 4th, Biometrics applied in March. Nothing since.

I filed my EAD extension on April 2021 and they automatically applied my biometrics which I had done on Oct 2020. That’s the last update. No news since then. I’m also waiting on my I-485 since Feb 2020.

The worry I have is I do not see anyone getting approvals for I765 recently from TSC. I am now on unpaid leave as of last week.

Sounds like you worked more than 180 days if you applied for extension since Feb 😅

No, 180 days past my expiry date on my card on 22nd of May is how it works, I applied 3 months before it was set to expire thinking 9 months would be enough time - 2nd November was the 180th day.

Oh got it! yes you are right it is 180 days after it expires. Mine expired May 31 so my last day is Nov 27. My attorney didn’t even want me to apply for extension because she was super sure I would get my i485 approved sometime this summer 🤦🏻‍♀️ which obviously didn’t happen. So here I am still waiting… I guess the bright side is we’ll have some “vacation time” during the Holidays. Fingers crossed we get the approvals by the end of year or early January 🤞 Please let me know when anything moves on your case because I feel our timelines are very similar. 😩

That’s terrible A G, have you had any response to SR’s? You must be nearly 12 months from applying?

I made an SR back in September, but still nothing.. They replied: “Your case is currently in line for processing and adjudication. Cases are processed in the order in which they were received.”

I got that response on my I485 becoming current, it’s now three months outside of normal processing.

PD Feb 1st and nothing based on i485.. ER approved on Oct 21st but case still pending.

feb 9 2021 and nothing. expedite request denied. only 5 weeks left on my 180-days extension. processing times just updated to 10.5-12 months

Uscis just updated processing time. Now it is 10.5-12 months. I think we should expect a year to receive our EAD.

Maybe even longer. I’m assuming it will take about 16 months to receive an EAD by the looks of it.

Why do you say 16 months, most people won’t even get 12 months from a current EAD on the 6 months receipt date prior to the card expiring and 180 extension. do you mean new applications?

new application. I think 16 months is too much. To me 12 months is more realistic.

New application will take probably between 14-16 months. I say that because there are people waiting from Oct 2020. I am a Dec 2020 filler and I just received my bio appointment for next week. That’s 11 months of wait. There are low chances of them approving the EAD application in one month after bio. Other factors will include the holidays (they tend to slow down a bit), Afghan refugee crisis, etc. I hope that I am wrong, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they ultimately put between 14 and 16 monthsx they are increasing processing times every month.

@CG P7, according to an attorney based on his clients, seems they work on the main applications more than their ead renewals. Apparently, they don’t want to waste time in renewals and work on the main application instead

when you say main application, what do you mean?

I think what A G means by “main applications” is first-time EADs and not EAD renewals. Or that’s what I understand…

AG - I’d be extremely surprised if they processed new applications over renewals. I have seen most new applicants taking longer than renewals, but neither are quick.

The attorney noticed his clients started to receive their GC while the ead renewal still pending without issuing.. not sure if its only by random or luck

Ah ok, my attorney said that I could receive my GC before my EAD too but they would rather push that through than the renewal - I get what you mean now. My GC is current, but no RFE for medical yet…..

My GC has been current for 10 months, no medical RFE, only recently bio appointment only. Buckle up, it’s going to be a long and bumpy ride unfortunately

yes, I waited for 8 months, then my employer requested premium processing and it got approved. It was approved a month ago and I received a bio appointment two weeks after approval of 140. Coincidence? I don’t know.

That’s good news. My I140 was approved in September 2020. 😳 Biometrics already done in March 20. Such a tedious process.

I just hope we don’t wait for 7 months after our biometrics/approval if 140 form for the actual card. Might as well give us the GC straight.

I was hoping that too, but I haven’t been sent an RFE for my medical as yet. 😕

Yes, on my visa. I’m hoping to get an RFE soon after my biometrics. I mean, everythins is ready for that RFE after that, I don’t know honestly

they accepted my previous biometrics for ead in may. still waiting on ead renewals. for gc, we did bio in aug 20, they haven’t asked for medicals yet. no idea how they pick the cases. 🧐🧐 and i am eb1-3 current since the day of application..

same as me,, my bios were transferred in March 8 weeks after receipt date. nothing after that. Feb 20 for GC - EB1C.

CG 77 any update on your case? they sent me an rfe for 485 but it hasn’t arrived. nothing on ead renewal.

I have no idea. I had my bio on Nov 19, and today the case status changed to “fingerprints applied to the case”. It took a month and a half to change for bio. No idea how much longer for the EAD.
