Any similar cases?
Does anyhone have similar dates and get approved or tried to expedite the case? I’m in US since 1 year and married on 4/4/22. FO: Los Angeles. Can’t see and plan our future 🤷🏻‍♂️ Depressed of being unemployed and just have a heart issue due to stress as doctor said😡😡

Given that you just got married and applied right after the marriage then your process will take long time still. You can expedite the work permit but my advice is to get a job offer first ti improve your chances if getting accepted.

i applied april 12, 2022. they reused my biometrics so my i-485 is actively reviewing since april 14,2022. the rest is still case recieved. im also in the US

Some people get approved in 2-3 months even without an interview. Being unemployed in US because of this waiting time, it’s a nightmare. Any employer give a job offer before EAD/GC unfortunately!

I know, his case is actually moving very fast even compared pre-covid times and he's being very negative. Have faith my man and everything will workout.

@FU yes employers give offers before EAD, that's how everyone who expedites their card does it, they get a job offer as i did. The people who get EAD or GC fast are usually applicants who have some documents in the system prior to applying like EB applicants or F students who got married and changing their presence.

I have arrived in US with B1/B2 in August 2021 and on December 2021 I applied to change of status for F1 through language school and had biometrics too but USCIS required another biometrics for I-485 and I-765. I’m still trying for a job offer but most companies don’t want to wait for me🤷🏻‍♂️

Did you get a RFE?

I am MAY 2nd, also asked for and RFE, And still waiting…

Berkay AAug 15, 2022
@In God I Trust yes, USCIS requested RFE for my wife’s (US citizen) tax return transcript and sent it. we actually sent my wife’s all tax return for last 3-4 years on filing but USCIS required the transcript (an abstract, like a first page)

ok, thanks

you married and applied months after me and my husband is home in the UK waiting as I'm here in the US waiting. We both have age and our health working against us so waiting at ages 58 and 46 to be living together as a married couple should is quite depressing and stressful. Nothing any of us can do but wait.

having heart issues now as well

You can expedite work permit due to financial loss if you have proof of that. one of my friend did it and got EAD just 2 days after. Her husband got sick and wasn’t able to work for awhile. I filed my case in june 22 and I already received my EAD. I’m not sure how they work cases really. it’s very mysterious 😅😅

@FU... Coincidentally, we have a very similar situation. Arrived on a B1/B2 Visa in April 2021. Got married to my fiance in December 2021. Filed in April 2022 and still waiting. Not even EAD approved yet. Still actively reviewing... Sadly, I've tried a zillion times and recruiters won't give you an Offer Letter without EAD... Let's remain hopeful🙏🏾🙏🏾

@EE yeah I understand you definitely. we r on the same ship
EE AAAug 15, 2022
@FU no matter how good your wife is, it's not easy being a man and knowing you can't contribute to expenses at home.. It's not even about your ego as a man but you just feel so useless especially when u are the responsible type🤦🏾🤦🏾 I wish USCIS could even request for more money, get more staff and approve EADs within 60days..

Berkay AAug 15, 2022
@EE you reas my mind exactly! Being a home sitting husband makes me crazy and depressed! My wife supports financially and mentally but this is not about it. I feel myself useless. Uscis has premium process for employment based GC. Uscis has to provide premium process for marriage based too!
EE AAAug 15, 2022
@FU I feel you bro.. Let's hope we get at the EAD approved before this month runs out.
EE AAAug 15, 2022
@FU Luckily my wife is a Counselor so she knows when I'm depressed and stressed out and i start being annoying 🤦🏾🤦🏾 It gets worst for me when recruiters keep approaching me through LinkedIn and I simply can't do anything but to ignore them everyday...

@In I understand you totally. I can’t sleep, can’t eat. Always depressed and hopeless. But I can’t see any option rather than sit and wait unfortunately. I never waited for anything in my life so this period teaches me to be patient I guess
In God I Trust 🙏🙏Aug 16, 2022
I know right, it is teaching me to be patient too
Lauren BartonAug 16, 2022
@FU be grateful that you are at least physically present daily with your loved one during your wait. Many of us are not so fortunate. Sure my husband can work in his home country as we wait, but we're having to maintain two separate residences with two separate sets of bills in two different countries so we're not financially better off by any means, plus we're 4,000 miles away from one another waiting, with a time difference and work schedules that only allow us to video call 2 times a week. It is beyond stressful and depressing.
