Any May 2021 I-751 Vermont filers yet to receive 24-month extensions?
Filed I-751 Removal of Conditions last week of May 2021, issued I-797 NoA 18-month extension first week of Jun 2021, with biometrics/fingerprints reused mid-June 2021 as last case update. Ticked 8 months since filing and have yet to receive an updated I-797 NoA 24-month extension. Others in company!?!

Thanks, @Waiting Patiently! Reading tea leaves here, but is it that such cases are slam dunk and we wouldn't need an extension, or is Vermont backlogged to even send out updated I-797 24-month NoAs!?! Did others, plus/minus, get 24-month extensions out of Vermont?

I didn’t receive a 24 month expiration letter. I did an expedite request though back in December and they said my case should have a decision or action within 60 days. We’ll see what happens.

@Harry Potter, did you file May 2021?

@Ria Alex, only I DID NOT get a 24-month extension (yet?). Hoping it means adjudication soon where I wouldn’t possibly need it. Pretty straightforward case.

@Bugs Burger letters sent out were due to them extending wait time and them having a backlog of cases. This was all stated in the letter. It has nothing to do with how strong or not your case is. It’s simply means the process will take longer than usual. Gods speed for everyone.

@Ria Alex; since we have pre and post May 2021 filers that both have and have not received 24-month extensions, I'm guessing they're sorting backlog on additional variables. Or, there simply isn't any method to their madness :)

@Bugs Burger I say it’s the individual who your case ends up with and that’s what it really comes down to. That’s the person with the perspective and whom has the weight to make a decision. As well as how much cases are assigned to that person’s work load, how that person goes through their assigned cases (be it fast or slow). Those are the variables, but do understand that the pandemic did do an huge dent on processing time. Most of the offices were empty for a while, I can say that from experience. Fingers cross and Gods Speed for it is needed.

Had to solicit the I-797 NoA 24-month extension by lodging a “missing notification” on my USCIS account portal. Sad how slow EAC Vermont moves; Visa Journey shows mid-Feb 2021 I-751 getting processed now. That’s 17+ months processing time :(

I just put an outside processing times inquiry- March 12 here
