@Leo S pretty sure interview wait time depends on visa type also, there are k1’s that got dq’ed in December, interview date given in March for July. but they’ve also started doing some k1’s in Mexico City just in the last few months again, hopefully to alleviate whatever is happening(or not happening) in Juarez. If anyone knows of a place to get more data coming out of Juarez, I’d love to know also! 🙏🏼

@EJ Painter I’ve thought about asking my lawyer if my case can be transferred to CDMX. That’s where I am from and it would facilitate si much. Rught now I’m in queue in Juarez. I wouldn’t be mad if they schedule my interview in CDMX.

@Leo S I hear you! my fiancé is in Zacatecas, cdmx would be a godsend, closer, faster, cheaper. not having to navigate a new city on top of the stress of the interview would be amazing… realizing probably no one has ever called cdmx cheaper under other circumstances 😂

@EJ Painter do you think it is possible to request IR1 case transfer to a different consulate in mexico?

@Abel Baca I really have no experience with how much leniency there is for transfer requests in the system. I hope someone has some insight though on your general question about requesting a transfer!

Hello, any updates? I filed for my husband I-130 was approved April 2023. We became documentarily qualified on August 17th, 2023 and it is currently January 8, 2024 and still no interview date ): also for Ciudad Juarez! It would have been amazing if it was in CDMX.
