Hi! my husband is Jamaica! Filed 130 for him and are three children in Jamaica on July 19th Filed his 485 by mail on July24th, confirmed reciept arrived in the mail today. Hoping for a smooth process to get his green card!

my case is different as am being filed for by my son from Nov 2022 but I’m already here. I’ve gotten my i765 approved a month of filing n just got my i130 approved two weeks ago now am waiting for the i485 and i131 to be approved.

@fresh tibs when they approved the 485 you wont need the 131 because you will be getting the greencard

@fresh tibs did u check the documents section of your 485 cause when they approve my 130 and i went on line just as i was about to lig off i look in the 485 documents section and see the approval in there

@A W mine is at the fort Myers field office from early march stuck there lol until they approved the i130

@fresh tibs i dont think it was transfered, i did my own application in November 22, in december they sent for rfe to do over 864 form it was in april i did a Service Request theough Emma and by Mothers day weekend it was approved funny thing is my field office then sent me an email couple days after to say i was approve

@fresh tibs i did the service request to them because they had receive the rfe for more than 100 days so i did it and it work out for me some people did service sometimes two and it dont work out lucky for me it did work out

so guys my husbands case went to the department of state they said I can go ahead and start the process of an immigrant visa . bear in mind my husband is in Jamaica and I’m here in the state. I don’t know what and how to do it ?

Update on my husband's filing process got two emails from NVC the second email guys from NVC you need to read read read read carefully and follow every instruction that NVC gives to you you need to read follow instructions because you do not want any glitches.4 NVC ensure that they send you the second email to make sure that you follow instructions, especially with the police record you do not go to Duke Street and say you want to please certificate a police certificate is different from a police record ( I didn’t know that until now ) in the email, they let you know what you are supposed to ask for and what to say the. Police record will have a picture of your face and the hologram on a special paper so I don’t want to go into details because it’s just gonna be so long just make sure that if you’re in that NVC process or you’re awaiting the NVC email make sure that you read. If you read the second email and the instructions everything would be smooth sailing. please read. To be continued...... God's speed.

he got his interview date and medical date one week apart now my daughter has been approved filed 03/23 approved on 02/24 her case is on its way to NVC
