Any Brooklyn, NY Field Office folks waiting adjudication?
I already got stuck for so long @ TSC and now I was told that the processing time is 25 months @ Brooklyn NY on average by the agent. Is it that if you were in a slow center initially you continue to land up in a slow field office ? This is so annoying.

@s s oh ok.

current does not mean everything; there is also a limit of each country.

S SSDec 7, 2023
@Al O That makes sense. Maybe their automation system decides which FO to send for which applications based on several parameters like country quota, priority date etc
Al ODec 7, 2023
@S SS absolutely.

@S SS have you ever been in crp
S
S SSDec 9, 2023
@d s No. I just have been unlucky. 15 months my case stuck @ TSC just for transfer to NBC. Generally in most cases, they transfer cases right after I-140 approval. I see folks who applied for adjustment of status in July/August 2023 got approved in November 2023 just within three months. It all depends where your case is or maybe as we were discussing in the earlier posts, probably it’s something to do with country of origin.

@S SS I advise suing uscis. one of my friends got stuck for 2 years all the whole current. they sued and got result within 30 days.

S SSDec 9, 2023
@d s I guess even for that we have to wait for sometime. My observation is for some nationalities it is perhaps taking a long time even though it’s current throughout. A very few lucky ones among them are getting approved within 6-10 months.

@vetri Rajadurai No not yet.Mine is at Brooklyn NY. Three weeks back I sent my medicals as a response to the RFE but till now I have not received any response from them. Emma bluntly said to wait for 60 days before we can find out whether they have received our medicals or not. I just wanted to know whether the medicals have reached the correct office.

@vetri Rajadurai I have seen folks have posted that they were responded by the FO within 4 weeks of sending the medicals.
vetri RajaduraiJan 22, 2024
@S SS yes one of my friend got 45 days after responding Rfe..hope u ll get approved soon ..

@vetri Rajadurai 45 days makes sense. Which FO your friend sent medicals to ?

@vetri Rajadurai 👍 Miami process faster than Brooklyn as per current data.

@vetri Rajadurai It’s more than 30 days now and no response from Brooklyn FO. At least they should message that they received the medicals. Those are important documents and there is a deadline so I feel anxious. I am thinking of raising a service request although I know it will be ignored. My AP processing times has crossed the published processing time for the service center so I had raised an SR but it was never responded. I called them so they raised another SR because the first SR was not responded within a reasonable time. it’s crazy out there.
vetri RajaduraiJan 31, 2024
@S SS call uscis ask ,u need to talk to level to officer they ll call us back in 2 days ..talk to them explain your situation..usually some field office they are not updating the response received status..directly goes to approve hope yours also none off that..…keep shipping details and tracking details in case

@vetri Rajadurai thanks will try that. Generally they are rude and bluntly say we have to wait for 60 days just to know whether the FO received the medicals or not. But the problem is the window elapses soon after that. And moreover I have a feeling SRs are generally ignored doesn’t matter when you file them. I experienced that for my AP issue.

@vetri Rajadurai My lawyer told me not to fire a lot of inquiries and to be patient. After 1.5 years of wait when 95% of the time you were current and still did not get approval how can one be patient? 🙂
vetri RajaduraiJan 31, 2024
@S SS we are almost there …I heard Brooklyn FO slower one ..hope approve soon directly RFE TO APPROVAL ..
S

@vetri Rajadurai oh ok. I called up USCIS today and they told me to wait for one more month before that they cannot do anything for the medicals. Let’s we wait for couple of weeks or so.

@vetri Rajadurai Received biometric fingerprint request for my son today. When I applied he was less than 14 and now he turned 14 so new fingerprints will be needed for him. Apart from this no other communication I received from them. I thought I would receive the message that they received our medicals. And interestingly this biometric came from service center but our medical RFE came from the field office.
