@Raul Mayor yes I did submit all the medicals alongside 485 however they sent me RFIE for my daughter's medical maybe they had lost it however me and my spouse didn't receive RFE. We were waiting for EAD and blessed with GC approval suddenly.

@Aqeel H Naqvi everyone has a status before you apply for the adjustment of status. Adjustment of status (I-485) means you previously had a status which you are trying to adjust to a permanent resident status. So I am asking for that your previous status before adjusting.

@S D I was on J-1 prior to AOS. I have a PhD in Engineering and doing PostDoc since May 2022 as a J-1 scholar.

@S D yes I am still working as a PostDoc at MSU. I got extension prior to applying for 485.
