it definitely did. I reached out to both senators on the same day and one didn’t help much while the other (Ted Cruz) after a week had reached out to USCIS and my case got a status update within 2 weeks.
So yeah I’ll definitely recommend that for you.

yes it was via email.
search up how to submit a privacy release form with my local senator or congressman.
it will show u the documents you need to fill out and sign then email it to the senators office.
