after required filing i824, my case was sent to NVC without filing it
I waited 16 months and 12 days to get approved and almost 2 months to get the welcome letter from nvc after thousands calls and messages to uscis
Finally My case is At nvc

@Mr MCC thank you so much, yesss I contacted the ombudsman and I showed them all the proofs that I made the correction and they helped me

@lilly et awwwnnn. congratulations ok. soon u will get your interview letter just like I did ok. the hardest and most frustrated stage is the USCIS which you have passed it. soon u will be with your spouse!!!!

congratulations this is my current situation after numerous calls and send inquiries the mail and email I was told that my case send to Nvc but I don’t receive welcome I don’t know nothing

@lilly et hello my sister is in the same boat after i-130 been approved since 130days we have wait for the case to be sent to nvc and it’s just now we have known that a mistkake was made and they are telling her to file i-824. we heard that it’s take too long we don’t want to do it. CAN I know who the ombudsman is? if he can help us too

@waseela TR sorry for your sister! the ombudsman helps in case she corrected that mistake before the approval and uscis ignore this correction, but it seems like she didn’t know that she made the mistake on her i130 form so
she has to fill the i824 form and then she try to contact her senator or the ombudsman to expedite her case good luck and sorry again
