according to many attorneys, you’ll get a conditional green card if by the time of the application is ~>APPROVED <~ it’s being less than 2 years. it doesn’t matter if the card is produced afterwards. hope it helps. remember after two years you have to file to remove the condition and get your green card.

It applies on when your interview was and approval. So yes, you'll still get 2yrs.

@Beckie... Your interview can be on the 1st of the month, your 2nd year anniversary on the 15th or 20th of that month but the officer give a decision on the 23rd of that same month... You will get a permanent GC not a conditional. If during your interview he didn't say anything about APPROVAL or DENIAL, he will say something about what he needs or what is missing for him to give his final decision and that you will receive a RFE. for them to review the rfe, it can take days, months or even years. You will be on a safe side then especially if your 2nd years anniversary is around the corner. But there are few officers who's doing that: their decisions during the interview will be the same after the Interview. I hope you understand what I mean

oh thanks guys but what if it hasn’t changed to approve on the site still on interview schedule but just word of mouth from the IO saying i was approved, is it still going to be 2years after my 2year anniversary

@bayano I Understand but I still have it stuck on interview schedule and my 2nd anniversary was last month - the officer only told me I was approved but nothing changed on the website

@Beckie if you didn't receive NO rfe after the Interview, the decision will be what the IO said during the interview.

if the officer hasn’t approved your application then most likely you’ll get the 10 year green card 😉 when was your interview?
