interview was March 24 went well . failed I 130-I 485 together on December 2019 I got approved for I 130 but I 485 still says interview was Scheduled

@S Ka, my status is interview was completed and case must be reviewed, it changed a day after our interview.

PD Oct 2019 (Marriage based) Interview was on Oct 2020 (Interview went well, we were given a white paper saying we are under review and that they have 120 days to make a decision. It’s been more than 120 days...) I-130 approved Nov 2020. Renewed my EAD Dec 2020. EAD Renewal status changed to Card is being produced last Friday and today status changed to being approved. Field Office: Baltimore, MD

interview completed and case must be reviewed. 03/09/21

interview was 01/21/21 still no update yet. My husband and I keep checking every hour, still says, " interview scheduled ".

My i130 is also at case received :| Please let me know if you find anything on this.

so if you filed i130 and i485 together they get processed together. if you married to a green card holder then I believe you have to wait for i130 to be approved before filing i485.

Our interview was also scheduled before I-130 was approved. I-130 was approved 30 days after our interview. I-485 still says Interview was scheduled, even though our interview was on Oct 2020.

@JT can you please tell me why is yours taking so long after interview? Is there any background checks or something else?

How do you know if interview went well?

@gucci At the end of the interview I asked how did we do. He said we did pretty good and should hear back in a month, Then he continued less than a month most probably.

@S Ka , some here, io told us we'll get GC in 2-3 weeks time. it's been more than a month. I called yesterday and asked for a type 2 officer to call me back. so they scheduled me to expect a call from them within 14 days.

@mitch please keep us posted here how it goes with the call. good luck!!

if I knew why I would tell you but I don’t lol and no I never got any RFE’s, We are just going to keep waiting and hopefully we get a decision or hear something from them soon.

@Thanh @ NO Thank you. I called them countless times. I will share SR history in a minute, Will copy from other post.

I raised first SR on i485 on 4/28 second my wife did on i130 5/13 Then requested Tier2 callback and no response. Then we did another SR on i130 last week and today I got this update.

Number of times I contacted them via phone/emma doesn't have any count. Lol It was basically every week after interview. lol

wow @S Ka I guess calling them speeds up the process. I was thinking that waiting till it gets to my turn should be ideal. but from your experience, I guess we'd have to start buzzing them

@N O yeah, I think you should stay on top of your case with them. My EAD renewal application had my DOB issue. I was trying to get that fixed since Dec 2020. They fixed it in 2021 May. They still had wrong info for my renewal (Wrong A-number) and they never fixed it, Still have a pending request. lol Many of my calls were regarding this whole issue too, So I would just ask about i485.

@S Ka I am so happy for you. Congratulations. You really came a long way and it all worked together for good. Just being curious, do you still need A-number after green card?

Thanks a lot. This is what I understand, Your alien number puts all your cases together. Before filling for immigration or after filing that. After filing for green card, USCIS will assign you this number and use this number to keep all your visa infos, your FBI report, your any work permit in between together. I believe A-number is their way of identifying an immigrant. It will be with you until you get your citizenship.
