Affirmative asylum case pending more than 535 days
How long will it take USCIS more to adjudicate my case even by law they are required to adjudicate my case in 150 days and got sued for that in court. my affirmative asylum is pending for more than 535 days. please help

You should’ve received your EAD by now. I applied for mine in Nov 23 last year and it got delivered in Dec 6.

On your timeline I see that your EAD is still pending. I haven’t even been interviewed yet. it’s honestly frustrating.

@saib saib Asylum backlog reached 3 million cases so far. Average time for the interview is 5 to 8 years and growing. Decision may take also a lot of time. So be prepared to wait a lot of time. Many people opt in for marriage while application is pending. that's your only way unless you want to wait 10 years and maybe denied at the end....

you're right but our cases are different. congress passed law our cases need be adjudicated in 150 days. USCIS got sued in court for this and offered settlement

I have a pending asylum for 10 years. So always expect the worse.
