affidavit of support
help, I live abroad with my husband for 2 years and didn’t work a us job so I need a joint sponsor with me but I can’t find anyone 😭 I barely have family and they don’t qualify. is there help for people like me? does anyone know any helpful information. it seems we cannot obtain a visa without a qualified joint sponsor. this is killing me. help 😭

the joint sponsor can be family/friend from either of you that stays in the US and also pay and file taxes

@Hanan merabet yes my friend qualified and did this for me. if you don’t have family or friend maybe you can search online if there is anyone you could pay to do it? I don’t know if it’s existing or not 🤷🏼♀️

@H k that’s unfortunate. I wish you luck. I never found people who do this like strangers ya know. I got lucky to find a qualified friend who agreed.

@H k you have 1 year to find someone from the time of your interview. I’m sorry you haven’t found yet. I know that feeling. I wish you will find soon. it’s very difficult. it’s best if you have lived and worked in the us making a sufficient amount of income. you might have to find better job or 2 jobs to qualify if your not able to find a joint sponsor. it’s a big risky commitment that’s why it’s hard to convince someone to agree to it.
