Advice on I-485 approval timing, potential employer is asking
My employer is asking for a guideline on when my green card will be granted, does anyone have ideas?
Category: EB1-C (multinational executive)
Location: Rest of World (Australia)
Current status: L-1A
Filing: I-140 + I-485 + I-765 filed concurrently
Service Center: NBC, no field office transfer that I'm aware of
Timeline:
02/06/2026 - Receipt date (IOE09355 block)
02/21/2026 - Biometrics appointment notice
03/12/2026 - Biometrics completed. Same day: 2× FTA0 on I-485, 3× FTA0 on I-765
05/01/2026 - Silent update on I-765 only (assuming this was the NGI re-vetting sweep). Nothing since
06/11/2026 - I-140 approved (PP, ability to pay RFE). Silent update on I-485 same day
Nothing since. No RFE, no notices, no 3rd FTA0
Questions:
- Should I expect to see a result before 2027?
- What is the typical gap between I-140 approval and I-485 approval?
- Is it normal to still be at NBC with no transfer at ~7 months, or should I be reading that as a bad sign?
- How do you ask Emma if your interview has been waived? I asked and they just ended the chat
