Advice needed on my pending AOS case
Hi everyone I’d appreciate guidance on my cases. I filed i765/i485 (based on EB1) on May, biometrics May 27. Since then I’ve had only 2 silent api updates; Emma said my I-485 is interview waived and the file is at NBC. I’m a physician applying for residency and some programs may ask about EAD/GC in interviews. I submitted 2 USCIS expedites and also went through a senator and a congressman; no luck (totally 4). Because residency contracts come after the Match, I don’t have a job offer letter to include in my expedition documents. At about 6 months pending, is it worth hiring a lawyer for filing a case for I-765? What options have I got? Thank you so much.

if job is at risk, I agree hiring a lawyer is worth while for a litigation. check reddy, Neuman and Brown Pc legal team. they have Steven brown out there who looks into litigation. I took advice from him regarding litigation for my 485 delay as I was touching an year. he mentioned to wait for a year for 485 before filing a litigation. They are pretty legit and give unbiased advice. check with them.

@k b , is it applicable to everyone? I am waiting for more than 14 months (Receipt date: September 3, 2024, EB2). USCIS shows average processing time is 26.5 months now.
