Advice
So currently my fiancé is in Ghana 🇬🇭. Base on what I have read so far from the long wait in Ghana, is it advisable to file for fiancé K1/K2 visa or go to Ghana and get married to her to start the process. thanks 🙏🏾 # Ghana 🇬🇭#Accra

I would probably ask the lawyer I filed in 2020 and my husband is still not here. We are just waiting on an interview and right now they are interviewing people who were documentarily qualify (D’qued) in February 2021. We were D’qued) in May 2022… We have been married 4 1/2 years…SMH. I to have heard if you do the fiancé visa it’s a little quicker. I also heard if you have him go to Canada, it’s quicker..be encouraged trust God…

@Gh Nyame have you decided which route you would take?

@Sherice H No I haven’t decided. Is your husband from Ghana? I will be grateful if you can share with me the route you took and how long did the whole process take. Thanks

@Gh Nyame yes he is from Ghana but the process took almost 4 years due to Covid, backlogs and lawyer mistakes. my cousin is going through the same and it been almost 2 years they are just waiting for the interview. The backlog seems to have been reduced and they are moving quicker. I am not sure about the fiancé visa. I hear that it is faster but I really couldn’t advise maybe talk to a good lawyer first to see what their opinion is, I think it just really depends honestly… Long journey
